Description
Brother Noland is one of Hawaii’s contemporary music pioneers. Thanks to his first smash hit, “Coconut Girl,” Brother Noland is often recognized for initiating the birth of Jawaiian music, which combines Jamaican reggae music with Hawaiian references. While Brother Noland loves jamming to the Jawaiian beat, he doesn’t limit himself to one genre of music. He also excels in traditional Hawaiian music, slack key, and Hawaiian swing music. Brother Noland’s latest album, "Hawaiian Man", released in March 2009 returns to his traditional Hawaiian (music) roots. The evolution of Brother Noland’s music and his contributions to Hawaii’s music scene has paved the way for dozens of Hawaii’s entertainers who’ve followed him and those to come.
